Homey rooms & suites with balconies, plus an indoor pool, free breakfast & a deck with lake views.
Right across the street from Enchanted Forest Water Safari Park is awesome for the location. Breakfast that is included is modest but not terrible at all. The room was very nice but dated. We had a handicapped room so the bathroom was very nice and large especially the shower. The view was pretty nice as well. The front desk staff were okay but not super friendly.
The rooms where pretty good. They had a nice feel to them. But the staff did not know what a plunger was. The fact the hotel is cashless is not very good either me and my brother had spend a full hour trying to get the arcade working. You need a proprietary card they don't offer any cash solution. The breakfast offered was not the best but is fine for a quick bite. It is good for those who are making trips for Water Safari and planed for multiple days.
I had a deeply frustrating experience with the front desk and check-in process at Water's Edge Inn. We arrived early at 9:30 AM to pay for our rooms and pick up our Stay 'n Play passes, which went smoothly. However, things went downhill fast when we returned for the standard 3:00 PM check-in. Upon arrival, we were told our room wasn't ready yet because they were short-staffed, but that it would be "about an hour." We understood the staffing issue, but two and a half hours later, we were still waiting with absolutely no estimated time or update on when we could actually get into our room. The most frustrating part? The moment we finally lost patience and asked for a full refund, our room was suddenly "ready soon." While I sympathize with being short-staffed, holding a room hostage until a guest threatens to cancel is completely unacceptable customer service. It shouldn't take demanding your money back to get an honest update or a completed room. We will not be returning.
