Waterrock Knob Visitor Center

Beautiful spot! Great for sunset or to view the mountains in general. Peaceful setting with a few picnic sitting areas, a trail to a higher vista and plenty of grassy areas if you bring your own chairs.

Incredible panoramic views and large parking lot with a manned visitors center. Vault toilets. Steep paved trail to higher elevation viewing platform. Rugged steps. Not for anyone with mobility issues. The parking lot and picnic tables and large grassy area have Incredible views already.

Nice small space to learn about. The hike to the top of the mountain is short but steep! We stopped a couple times to catch our breath. Sunset from the parking lot was nice. Several other vehicles present for sunset.
