After hearing so much about this place, I left feeling that it was unfortunately very overhyped. The lobster rolls were $30 each and were extremely underwhelming. They were served cold, and I’m not sure if that was intentional, but it wasn’t what I expected because the bread was toasted. I also ordered sautéed shrimp but was initially served breaded and fried shrimp. The waitress was great and quickly corrected the mistake, which I appreciated. However, the breaded and fried shrimp still hadn’t been properly cleaned, with the digestive tract left in several of them which was very unappetizing. The potato salad was quite good, and the halibut had a nice flavour, although it was served warm not hot. The fries were disappointing—thick-cut, which I usually enjoy, but they were soggy and lacked any flavour. We waited over an hour for a table and then another hour for our food to arrive potentially more. We did go at the last minute, so I understand that waits can happen, but the overall experience still felt excessive. In the end, the bill came to $176 for three people. Unfortunately, we left still feeling hungry. Considering the price, the long wait, and the quality of the food, I wouldn’t return.

Visited Water Prince Corner Shop during my trip and it was a great spot for a casual seafood meal. It’s a simple, no-fuss place, but the focus on fresh seafood really shows. We ordered the lobster roll, fish burger, and oysters. The lobster roll was the highlight — fresh, sweet lobster with just the right amount of dressing, served in a soft bun. The fish burger was also really good, crispy on the outside and flaky inside, and felt like classic comfort food done right. The oysters were fresh and clean tasting, perfect with a bit of lemon and hot sauce. Service was friendly and straightforward. Even though it was busy, things moved along at a good pace and we didn’t have to wait too long for our food. The atmosphere is relaxed and casual, more like a local seafood spot than a fancy restaurant.

We arrived on a Wednesday night during shoulder season and were lucky to snag a bar seat just off the kitchen. We ordered the scallop dinner and lobster roll and food came out to tables at a pretty decent clip. My scallops were incredible, so tender and perfectly seasoned. The carrots were also real tasty. My wife’s lobster roll was super delicious too, very fresh, cooked to perfection, and was so flavorful it didn’t need to be doused in mayonnaise and fixings. The potato salad was a bit like deviled egg filling but also good. Service was quick and friendly.
