Cabinlike eatery featuring classic cafe meals, espresso & draft brews in a comfortable atmosphere.
Tunnel Creek Café was one of my favorite stops during my Lake Tahoe trip. Nestled in a beautiful location, it’s the perfect place to relax before or after exploring the nearby trails. The atmosphere is peaceful, with plenty of outdoor seating where you can enjoy the fresh mountain air and scenic surroundings. I ordered the veggie sandwich and the avocado toast, and both were excellent. The veggie sandwich was fresh, loaded with crisp vegetables, and served on delicious bread that made it both filling and flavorful. The avocado toast was equally impressive—generously topped with fresh avocado, well-seasoned, and beautifully presented. It was simple, fresh, and exactly what you want after a morning outdoors. The coffee paired perfectly with the food, and the staff were warm, welcoming, and efficient despite the café being busy. Everything felt fresh, high quality, and made with care. Whether you’re hiking, biking, or simply driving around Lake Tahoe, Tunnel Creek Café is absolutely worth the stop. Great food, friendly service, and an unbeatable setting make it one of those places you’ll want to come back to.
Tunnel Creek Café is such a cute gem with delicious food. Everything we got was flavorful but my favorite were definitely the oatmeal pancakes. They were so delicious and soft. I would definitely come back.
