Thermal springs with scenic mountain views accessed by a dirt track with some camping.
It's a bit underwhelming. Only 2 pools to soak in, Sheep Dip and Last Pool. Sheep Dip is great, but small. Room for MAYBE 4 people. Last Pool has amazing views but it's very shallow. It's close to the highway, so can be very busy.
Non maintained tubs, I maintained and cleared out a lot of algae. They are free and open to the public. The atmosphere there was super laid back and the water was great. The folks in the upper tubs felt the water was t warm enough for the very cold day it was. But the lower ones we went in were a perfect temp. Clean area not a lot of trash, toilet house in parking lot. Fascinating to see where travertine tiles come from! I highly recommend these hot springs the landscape of the area is stunning!
Follow the trail given in the map . Area seems very fragile, don't spoil the nature here.preferably come in groups as it seems to be a desert area. However this pales into insignificance when you see yellow stone geysers
