Little tricky to drive to. Parking can get tight. Good quality local arts n crafts and also a Blue Ridge Parkway gift shop all housed in the room of the Cone Manor. An estate from the Guilded Age with beautiful grounds and paths. It was gifted to the National Park Service. No bathrooms only portapotties so be aware. Great for hikes as the trails are of all distances and complexities given the size of the estate.
Great park. Miles of wonderful carriage road leading to great views and 2 lovely lakes. On the weekends you can see the inside of the Cone Manor. Fascinating!
Beautiful property with beautiful carriage road trails to Bass Lake. The weather wasn't the greatest, but it made the walk a cool experience.
