Sylvan Lake

It is my favorite place, I do not wanna do this review because I do not want people to discover this place and ruin it. It is my safe place. I feel calm and pure happiness when I go hiking and swimming there. Clean and peaceful. And it is a very good spot to do peddle boarding or canoe. We have our own peddle board but I think you can rent there, too. People are always polite and respectful in this place.

Sylvan Lake is one of the most charming and picturesque spots in the Black Hills. The calm, clear water framed by dramatic granite boulders gives it a fairytale feel, and the easy loop trail around the lake makes it perfect for a peaceful walk. It’s a great place to relax, take photos, or enjoy a quiet moment in nature. Whether you’re hiking nearby or just stopping by to unwind, Sylvan Lake offers a beautiful, serene escape that’s hard to forget.

Beautiful spot with striking granite formations backing the lake! The walk around the lake was a great way to stretch my legs. If it hadn't of been quite so windy, I would have loved to take a dip from the day use area. Cute gift shop and plenty of parking.
