We recently stayed here and had a mixed experience overall. There were definitely some highlights that made our visit enjoyable. The lobby is absolutely beautiful and creates a wonderful first impression — it feels welcoming, elegant, and thoughtfully designed. The views from the property are also stunning and were one of our favorite parts of the stay. Additionally, the restaurants on-site were excellent. Every meal we had was delicious, and the dining options really elevated the experience. The concierge team also deserves recognition — they were friendly, responsive, and genuinely helpful with recommendations and assistance throughout our visit. Unfortunately, we did run into an issue with our room. When we first checked in, we didn’t notice any issues, however when it came time for bed, we noticed our room had a large number of small black bugs (possibly gnats, though they seemed larger) around 50 or so visible throughout the space. We called the front desk, and staff responded quickly and kindly by moving us to another room, which we appreciated. However, the second room also had bugs, though noticeably fewer. While the staff handled the situation politely and did their best to accommodate us, the recurring bug issue impacted our comfort and overall experience. With better attention to pest control, this could easily have been a much higher-rated stay. Overall, the property has many wonderful qualities — beautiful spaces, great food, and excellent service — but the room condition prevented it from being a fully relaxing visit
We stayed in the river flats and it was beautiful. Unfortunately the staff may need some guidance on professionalism and customer service. We ended up canceling dinner and Mother’s Day brunch at Wesley and Rose due to the staff interaction we had on Thursday evening. We entered the restaurant at 3:59 and we were greeted with a stern “we don’t open until 4!”, followed by a cold interaction with the waitstaff for the remainder of happy hour. On Saturday we inquired regarding extra towels and again were rudely told to just wash our own laundry because we didn’t prepay for towel service (unknown to us that was even an option) Overall the rooms were lovely, the staff seemed bitter and unhappy.
Such a special place, I don’t even know where to begin! We had a 3rd floor balcony room which overlooked the river - best sunset views in the house. The bed / bedding was sooo cozy and comfortable. The room itself was very modern, yet minimal - gorgeous bathroom fixtures, upgraded shower, nice bath amenities. Nespresso and mini fridge in the room. Only recommendation I have is somewhere to put clothing as there is only a luggage rack/no where to really unpack. Hotel amenities were top notch. The saltwater heated pool / larger hot tub was perfect, though I wish it stayed open a bit later (it closes at 9pm). Wesley & Rose Lobby bar/restaurant was 10/10, everything was flavorful and seasoned well. Great walking and trails nearby, walking along the Arkansas River was really lovely. 15 minute drive to Mt. Princeton hot springs. Can’t wait to return to this hotel!!!
