Log-walled resort offering rustic-chic lodging with lake views & fireplaces, plus a buzzy eatery.
Wow, great location, food and drinks! Staff were so friendly and fun. The views were amazing. Definitely stop in and check this out if in the area. We were there in March so the outside deck wasn't open yet, but looked amazing. Lots of great windows to see the lake from inside while dining. Didn't stay at the lodge, but looked really cozy and inviting. Would consider staying there next time. Close enough to Palisades if there to ski.
I cannot comment on the lodge, as I did not stay there, however the restaurant was simply average in an area where almost everything is exceptional. The food was worthy of 4 stars one could argue, but the service was very slow and there was a 15 minute wait to get our table even with a reservation, and an over hour long wait to get food after ordering. The view is great but is not unique to this restaurant and so doesn’t really factor into making this place better in comparison to other places on the lake.
The best roasted chicken!!! Crispy skin, juicy meat and the cheesy polenta and glazed carrots that went with made it one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. Heard it’s a seasonal menu - we’ll have to come back before it’s gone! Shout out to the chef and our server Sean for making our anniversary dinner special with a fantastic meal. (Sadly no pics, cleared our plates before it was gone).
