Fantastic hike and experience here! We took our 3 1/2 year old and 1 1/2 year old (in a carrier) and LOVED it. It's 1.9 miles round trip, perfect waterfall at the end to enjoy. It's more rigorous than we realized, intermediate level for sure, but our 3 1/2 year old did the whole thing, there and back, she loved the climbing and ups and downs. So if she can do it, take that for what it's worth. All shaded too, which was perfect on a hot day. Only note is that we had mapped to the falls, but it will take you to the middle of the road, where the actual falls are, not to the trailhead. So map directly to the trailhead and you'll be taken to the right spot.
This is one of the best low traffic falls in the area. Don’t be scared of the reviews for how steep the path is. I would t advise elderly or young children on it without planning to make lots of small little breaks along the way. It’s a very nice hike if you just take your time to enjoy it and not be in a rush to get there. Worth every step of the way if you plan on swimming.
The trail is beautiful and the waterfall at the end is well worth the hike. The website lists this as an easy hike due to how short it is, but I believe this should be categorized as moderate-hard due to the elevation gain.
