Loop trail in Cape Breton Highlands National Park known for its scenic ocean views.
I would only recommend this hike in nice weather. We were not lucky today and due to the parking that needs to be booked in advance there is zero flexibility
Went on the short loop around 5:30pm on a gloomy windy day and able to catch a slice of sunset at far end eventually. Lots of ppl even on a bad weather day, so be mindful if you see the trail is closed sign at the gate due to capacity. Highly recommend for a short easy hike with spectacular view at the end.
To clear up any questions anyone may have. Yes it’s worth it! Yes you need to visit it. No it’s not a hard trail, follow normal trail precautions. Though to note: the winds at the end of the trail get dangerously high, be careful, seriously. Make sure your kids and pets are held down and ready, those gusts are properly powerful.
