This park dedicated to historic trains offers tours of the roadhouse & seasonal locomotive rides.
We visited Jamestown Railtown 1897 during Spring Break, and it was truly an unbelievable experience. The history behind all the engines is fascinating, and the entire place is absolutely beautiful—surrounded by nature with plenty of scenic spots for pictures. The highlight of our visit was a wonderful gentleman who gave us a tour. He shared incredibly detailed information about every single engine and was super kind, sharp, and knowledgeable. He really made the experience special for us. The gift shop also had a great variety of items—we picked up some really cool hats and pins. The only downside was that we visited on a Thursday, so there were no train rides available, but they do offer rides on Saturdays and Sundays. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and definitely worth a visit!
Really nice place. We had such a cool guide that showed us around. Lot‘s of old stuff to discover. 5$ entry with a guide included is waaaay to cheap. Keep up the important work you guys do to preserve those treasures. 10/10 would come again :)
