Park preserving Ozark Mountain heritage through music, food & crafts, plus offering on-site cabins.
Interesting place to go for a day if you are in the area. We ate a meal in The Skillet Restaurant before we walked around. They have a great salad bar!The little village area where you can go in and out and watch craftmen and artists demonstrate their craft was kind of fun. We enjoyed some more then others. The Copper Colorists was a fun shop. They do beautiful work with copper and the lady that demonstrated, Rachel Matthews, was very entertaining. I bought a beautiful flame painted pin in the shape of a butterfly. Also, the magician was fun to watch!
My husband has been bragging about this place for years and I finally got him to bring me. It is so much better than what he told me. It is $15 a person and you get to walk around visiting different shops and the people show and tell you how everything is made. They also have different items you can buy and take home with you. The people are very knowledgeable and very friendly. There is also a restaurant on the property and an outside trail behind it that has huge boulders. It is so worth the trip you won't regret it.
Very clean and updated rooms. A couple or short hiking trails near rooms. Nice clean pool, free ice, and a bicycle station with a stand to work on your bike with built-in tools. They also have an air compressor for you bike and a hose and rags to clean your bike
