Northumberland Ferries Limited | Belle River, PEI

Recently took the Ferry from Wood Islands to Caribou. We booked ahead and I would recommend you do so as it was busy. They are very well organized with check-in, loading and unloading. It is quite a logistics operation to watch. The ferry itself was very comfortable and clean. The crossing was foggy and overcast so I couldn't take any decent scenery photos unfortunately. Saw some bald eagles though, and of course fishing boats. Really enjoyed the ride.

Northumberland Ferries in Prince Edward Island offers a very good travel experience. I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the ferry and the fact that it has a cafeteria on board. The food was excellent, which made the trip even more enjoyable. I took the ferry from Prince Edward Island to Caribou, Nova Scotia, and it was a nice experience from start to finish. If you are in PEI and want to try something different, this ferry ride is definitely worth it. You can even take your car on board, which makes the trip very convenient. It’s a great way to enjoy a short and unique travel experience, even if you plan to return on the same ferry.

A smooth, comfortable, and highly convenient transit experience! The ferry is spacious with plenty of comfortable indoor seating, and the onboard amenities and food counters are great for a quick snack during the crossing.
