National Museum of Wildlife Art

Enjoyed visiting this museum and learning more about artists who were inspired by the beauty of this region! We spent 100 minutes here enjoying the art and reading the majority of the plaques. There were several comfortable benches scattered throughout if anyone needs a minute to stop and rest. We were also invited by the front desk to sit in the members’ lounge if we wanted to relax/enjoy the view. Veteran and student discounts are offered. There is a restaurant inside which was highly recommended by multiple other travelers but which I myself personally skipped due to dietary restrictions. It’s a convenient place to grab lunch though if you visit the museum around lunchtime.

WOW amazing inside and out! Spend hour here. Art from even the 1600s. So many amazing artists of all kinds. Great movies in the different areas with interesting insights and history. Binoculars and scope so that you can see all the different areas amazing views from the big windows so interesting. Well worth the small drive. There’s plenty of parking and plenty of sculptures to walk around outside and also see the building itself is pretty amazing made out of stone kind of looks like a castle

Could not recommend this museum enough. It’s really conveniently placed right outside of town, so there’s absolutely no reason you shouldn’t visit while you’re here!!!! The art was incredible. The staff were exceptional. The gift shop was a lot of fun, my husband and I got ourselves two ornaments. I would say to give yourself 1.5 hours minimum to really enjoy everything inside and out.
