We had such a wonderful stay at the Mirror Lake Inn. One of my favorite touches was the cozy reading nook overlooking the lake. It made the whole place feel warm, cozy and relaxing. Just what I wanted for my 40th birthday celebration! The location was perfect too, with plenty of cute shops and places to explore nearby and within easy walking distance. The service was exceptional from start to finish. Every staff member was kind, welcoming, and attentive. The food was also outstanding — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. Everything about our stay felt comfortable and memorable. We would absolutely stay here again!
We had an outstanding stay at Mirror Lake Inn in Lake Placid. Even though the weather wasn’t great, the property, staff, and overall experience made the trip excellent. Jonathan, the hotel manager, was completely on point and made sure everything was handled professionally. The owners were also extremely welcoming and even bought us drinks in the game room to celebrate my wife's 50th, which was a really nice personal touch and made the place feel genuinely hospitable. The hotel itself has that classic Adirondack feel without feeling outdated. The rooms were great — comfortable, clean, and very fitting for Lake Placid. The new outdoor spa area and outdoor hot tub were excellent, and the spa itself was very nice with plenty of good treatment options. The new game room was another highlight. It was beautifully set up, comfortable, and a great place to hang out. The gym was top tier as well — clean, climate controlled, all new machines, and probably one of the better hotel gyms I’ve seen. Being able to work out with views of the lake from the machines was a huge plus. Breakfast at The View Restaurant was also very nice. The food and service were great, and the scenery over the lake made it feel special. Overall, Mirror Lake Inn really delivered. Great service, beautiful Adirondack atmosphere, excellent amenities, scenic views, and a very welcoming staff. We had a great time and would absolutely come back.
The only redeeming quality of this $800/night stay was the beautiful lake view. Sadly, the housekeeping was borderline non-existent. Our room was dusty, toiletries were not replenished nor trash emptied daily, and what passed for fixing the bed left much to be desired. It’s a shame that such a beautiful property is ruined by poor attention to basic maintenance. We tried to checkout after the first night but was told we would be charged for the full three-night stay. This may sound picky but I expect more at this price point!
