Mingus Mill

Very cool pitstop along the way. There is no guide but a sign telling you about the mill and its history. Very short walk. It is a great old building to see. Everything is closed inside right now but you can walk around outside.

Mingus Mill is a really neat historic stop in the Smoky Mountains. The old grist mill is incredibly well preserved, and it’s fascinating to see how it operated using water power. The surrounding area is peaceful and scenic, making it a great place to slow down and take in a little history. There’s a short, easy walk to the mill and plenty of spots nearby to explore and take photos. Definitely worth a quick stop if you’re driving through the park.
