Unbeatable mountain views and peaceful valley setting! Miette Hot Springs is an absolute must-visit when exploring Jasper National Park. Located about 60 minutes northeast of the Jasper townsite, the setting in the Fiddle River Valley is stunning. The 17 km drive off the main highway winds up through narrow mountain pass curves with incredible cliffside scenery—keep an eye out for bighorn sheep along the road, as they're frequently spotted nearby! > The Hot Springs: > The pools feature the hottest natural mineral water in the Canadian Rockies (flowing from the source at 54°C, cooled to a comfortable ~40°C in the soaking pools). Sitting in the outdoor pool while taking in the surrounding limestone peaks and evergreen forest is deeply relaxing. They also offer cooler pools if you need a quick refresh. Facilities are clean, modern, and reasonably priced, with lockers and amenities readily available. > The Surrounding Area: > Beyond the pool deck, the surrounding area offers plenty to do: > Sulphur Skyline Trail:Starting right from the hot springs parking lot, this steep but rewarding hike leads up to a 360-degree panoramic summit. Soaking in the pools right after finishing the hike makes the ascent completely worth it. > Source of the Springs Walk:An easy, short walk that leads past the ruins of the historic 1930s bathhouse to the actual natural hot spring source bubbling out of the mountain. > Pro Tip:Because of its secluded mountain setting, cell service in the valley can be spotty, so download your maps ahead of time. Arrive early in the morning or later in the evening to skip the busiest crowd hours!

Had an amazing experience here. Went with husband and 19 month old, In October at the end of the season. There was no crowd. People were there but finding a locker or a seat in the pool was not an issue at all. Being there in the fall also meant it got dark while we were there, and the ambiance was incredible. You could see the pools steaming. It was very relaxing. There are four pools: 40C, 37C, 20C and 16C. We enjoyed using all four of them for about 3 hours. We did bring some small water toys to help entertain, but she really didn’t use them much. They were trying out doing free Lockers while we were there and I am a fan! Being able to go back to my locker to get or put away things, especially when there with kids was so nice. We talked with one of the lifeguards for a while and she told us that they drain and scrub the pools every night! And bleach down the change rooms too. Even at the end of the night it was very clean for a public pool. When taking children note there is no family change room, they did mention a couple of options if we truly needed to stay together but we opted to just split up this time. Also note there are no slides or diving boards. They do however have lifejackets available Overall, I highly recommend visiting.

The drive up to the hot springs was beautiful. Locker rooms were clean. Water was warm and clean. They have a cold plunge pool i avoided it. No seating outside of the pool which is unfortunate and nowhere to eat so bring snacks
