Mammoth Cave National Park

Truly one of the best national parks I have been to. I cannot express enough how great this place is, from traveling through the caves in a tour, to walking around the park grounds, this place is amazing. Out of the three tours we did the onyx lantern tour was the best. Our guide Aaron told the group about all of the history of the cave, from owners to legal battles before the park was founded. We stayed in the motel rooms which had a great view of scenery and the woods. There were also several recreational trails near the park which could be used for running, walking, and biking. There were only a couple of bad things about staying here. The first was the construction going on and the second is not staying longer to do all the tours. The caves here are some of the most amazing caves in the world. This is a great place to visit.

What a cool experience. Also did the trails, both the easy and moderate... will say the moderate was challenging since I am heavy set, but it is doable. I recommend a walking stick which I have and was useful. Also don't forget to go through the exhibit inside the visitors center, because its very informative.

Today, I visited the park for the first time and was struck by the noticeable active improvements being made. The park has a smaller, more intimate feel compared to that of Yosemite, with its well-organized roads, lodge, and transportation system. The two-hour tour was incredibly informative, led by Park Ranger August. He had a knack for making the tour engaging with his witty puns and jokes. It was evident that he genuinely enjoys his job and effectively communicates with visitors of all ages. Overall, I highly recommend visiting the park to learn about its caves and rich history of the land.
