This conservatory is a modern reconstruction of a 1911 building housing palms & ferns.
Entrance fee is only $4?? This is not a huge place but a very neat place that IS worth your time. Do not rush. Relax. Enjoy the time in the warmth inside here this winter. We took the path both ways so we didn't miss any view. If you have young ones, be sure to just sit and watch. Give yourself at least a hour. There are many turtles and tortoises, Quail and a few other small creatures roaming round free in the rooms that will provide entertainment. They should have a scavenger hunt sheet, kids would love that sort of thing here. And then the Plants! Wow, how beautiful and Huge! Many benches to sit and relax, listening to the small waterfalls.
Loved this place! I went as a child but this was my first time as an adult. I really enjoyed seeing all the plants and little animals. It took me about 20 mins to do a full walk through. I am planning on taking my aunt here soon
This was a great escape from the dreary winter weather! It was warm, there were lots of turtles, and I learned a lot about plants. There were a lot of kids there, but it was still enjoyable
