If you’re in Joshua Tree, you cannot miss this viewpoint. The sunset is absolutely phenomenal, the colors over the valley are unforgettable. A few tips for the best experience: • Arrive Early: The parking lot fills up fast, so get there well before the sun starts to dip to snag a spot. • Bring Gear: I highly recommend bringing a beach mat and some snacks so you can sit back, relax, and thoroughly enjoy the view without rushing. One of the most peaceful and stunning spots in the entire park. A must-see!
Definitely worth the short drive up & back! Be advised that parking is minimal, and although this was not a problem for us in February (still 80°F), the busier tourist months would be challenging. Also, for those who are older, disabled, etc., the path up to Keys View is very steep, but smooth concrete.
