This 45-sq.-mi. field of dunes in the Mojave National Preserve features hiking trails.
I think about these dunes so often because they were unforgettable and an amazing experience. The hike to the top took a few hours and the end was incredibly worth it. There were a few people, but not crowded at all which I enjoy. The view at the top was amazing, the sand was cold and refreshing and the hike back was super relaxing and chill. We camped here with an amazing view of the dunes at sunset as well. Campsite was completely ours, peaceful, and clean. Such a beautiful place, I definitely recommend stopping by here.
Amazing place. We parked our trailer here for a couple of nights and had a great hike to the top of the dunes. The pit toilets were clean and there were plenty of camping spots with fire rings.
A must see at some point in your life. Try to check it out if you're nearby. Bring a telescope if you can. The sky is beautiful. Dont forget to take your trash with you and bring sun screen and water if you're visiting in the day time.
