Viewpoint overlooking a lake & Scandinavian 1920's castle with information boards & restrooms.
Inspiration Point (Emerald Bay) is a wonderful spot with breathtaking views of Lake Tahoe, the castle, and the island. The scenery is truly unforgettable and makes you feel like you’re in a postcard! The only downside was that the restrooms were closed, which created some inconvenience, so it’s good to plan ahead. Despite that, it’s definitely worth the visit — the views alone make it magical!
Beautiful views of Lake Tahoe. But dislike the parking fees for every little stop along the way by the Sate of California as if we are not already taxed at a predatory rate! Now have to pay to enjoy a natural wonder.
Spectacular vista point for viewing Emerald Bay and some of the main part of Lake Tahoe beyond. Worth a quick stop. There are restrooms at the end of the main parking lot, but the restrooms may be closed feom late fall to early spring. During the off season the main parklot may be closed making it necessary to park along the roadway.
