From the moment we crossed the threshold of this magnificent hotel, we knew we were in for an unforgettable experience. The level of luxury, warmth, and impeccable service we received set a new benchmark for what true hospitality should be. The tone for our entire stay was set the second we approached the front desk. Angie completely blew us away with an outstanding check-in experience. She didn’t just process our reservation; she welcomed us like old friends with a radiant smile, genuine warmth, and a level of professionalism that is rare to find. She anticipated our every need, walked us through the hotel's amenities, and made us feel like the most important guests in the building. It was a flawless, deeply personal welcome that made us instantly relax and realize we were in exceptional hands. The design, comfort, and sheer elegance of the property kept the magic going, but the culinary experience took it to another level. The Golden Gate Saloon, the hotel's on-site dining, was an absolute triumph. Every meal was an exquisite journey of flavors, beautifully presented in an atmosphere that perfectly balances historic charm with modern sophistication. The cocktails were masterfully crafted, the dishes were culinary perfection, and the staff at the saloon mirrored the same elite service we experienced throughout the property. Having such a world-class dining destination just steps from our room made our stay incredibly seamless and indulgent. When it finally came time to leave, the high standards never wavered. The check-out process was just as seamless and impressive as our arrival, leaving us with nothing but fond memories and a desperate urge to rebook. Every single detail of this stay was curated to perfection. If you want an experience where stunning design meets unparalleled, heartfelt service, look no further. We will be back!

We stayed here quite a few years ago and the remodel has made this hotel very comfortable and has kept its historic charm. The hotel is very nice but we were disappointed with the "breakfast" consisting of coffee, water and mini scones, with frittata starting at 9am. The $22.00 charge seems exorbitant. Even the standard hotel breakfasts offer much more. A little juice and a selection of pastries would be nice. That is our only complaint.

We stayed here for a night to attend a concert at the Center for the Arts — you couldn’t ask for a more convenient location; it was a stone’s throw away! The hotel had a beautiful aesthetic and little touches that explain and reflect its history. Our room was impeccable— really clean and comfortable. The front desk and other staff were friendly and hospitable. I loved the cocktails at the Golden Gate Saloon within the hotel. The continental breakfast was also a nice touch, too. It was a lovely and relaxing experience and I look forward to returning.
