If you're looking for affordable accommodation in Lake Louise, I can’t recommend the HI Lake Louise Alpine Centre enough. It’s always my first choice when visiting the area for snowboarding or exploring the Canadian Rockies. The rooms are consistently clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, making it one of the best budget-friendly places to stay in Lake Louise. The location is perfect, as its right in the heart of Lake Louise village and only a short 5-minute drive from the Lake Louise Ski Resort. Even better, the hostel offers a free ski shuttle to and from the resort, which makes ski trips incredibly convenient and stress-free. One of the biggest highlights is Bill Peyto's Cafe, the restaurant attached to the hostel. The food is consistently delicious, generously portioned, and fairly priced. It's easily the best casual dining in Lake Louise. There’s also the hidden gem of the sauna in the basement. Many guests don’t know about, making it the perfect place to relax after a long day in the mountains. For anyone searching for affordable lodging, a ski hostel near Lake Louise Ski Resort, or a comfortable mountain getaway in Banff National Park, this place checks every box. A special shoutout to , the General Manager, Linda, who works tirelessly to ensure both guests and staff are exceptionally well cared for. Her dedication truly makes this hostel stand out.

Arguably the best hostel I stayed at in my life. There is big cozy hall where you can play snooker, card games or watch a hockey game. The front desk is well organised and assisting. And (!), there is surprisingly a very decent dining room of a 3-star hotel calibre. Any European hostel I’ve been so far doesn’t offer such selection of food and dining options. Definitely will come again here after a few hikes.

Upon arrival the staff member on the desk was slightly abrupt to us arriving to check in just 10 minutes prior to 4pm. We had dinner at the restaurant and it was awesome. Great food and service! We had a private room which was clean and the tv was a plus! The mattress was very hard which made for a tough nights sleep but we woke up to may snow which was so magical. The bathrooms were one of the cleanest ive had at a hostel. Overall the vibe and experience were really enjoyable.
