Went at 10am (opening) on a Saturday in late August, bought tickets online and no line at all. Line was picking up by noon when we returned. Kids under 5 are free and they'll give you a ticket for them at the window. Strollers are allowed on but you have to hold little ones to enter and exit. The gondola doesn't fully stop so it is a little tricky but the staff is helpful. Observation stop on the way up is beautiful and a nice walk about, the summit is less of a view and not too exciting if you're not doing other activities - but we got something to eat at the lodge and the toddlers played with some of the toys inside. The gondola ride itself is very cool, the view is great. Expensive ($84/adult when we went) but honestly worth it to do at least once.

Amazing experience. Get there early to enjoy the day. Purchase tickets online for easy pick up at the ticket window via separate line.

You guys, this is so worth the money. $117 to ride up the mountain. 2 stops that you can spend as much time as you want. Both stops have restrooms, food and beverages. One stop also has a gift shop. The lodge at the end has a full service bar, ski slopes, several eateries. Some of the most stunning views I have ever seen. The gal that sold me the ticket was awesome. Upbeat, informative, smiling, so kind and helpful. Highly recommend this stop if you are in the area. It did take us a minute to find where to park. I drove past the turn at least 2 times.
