Mild to very spicy fried chicken, Southern sides and local brews in a casual, counter-service eatery.
I stopped by Hattie B's in midtown for a taste of the true Nashville Hot Chicken experience. Unfortunately the restaurant itself is currently closed for renovations, but luckily they have their food truck parked out front offering a limited menu. I opted for three Hot tenders, the pimento mac n cheese, and the cole slaw (in case I need to cool my mouth down). The chicken was delicious, perfectly fried, crispy but still juicy even after transporting, and the heat level was exactly what I expected. The Hot was tolerable (although I have a high heart tolerance) but enough to get my nose running - I'd recommend starting with medium for the average consumer. The mac was shockingly good. Overall the food was excellent, the guys that took my order were super helpful and friendly, I'm excited to come back once their renovations are complete!
Tried Hattie B’s in Nashville and it definitely lived up to the hype! The Mild chicken sandwich was AMAZING — super flavorful and perfectly crispy. I also tried the Hot level and wow… it was actually really spicy 😂 but still really good. The mac & cheese was delicious and the potato salad was great too. The only downside was the long wait outside, but honestly it’s Memorial Day weekend so that’s understandable. Overall, the food did not disappoint at all. Definitely worth trying if you’re in Nashville!
My wife and I were in Nashville to see a show. We came here to eat because it was close to our hotel and we were so glad we did. There was a line but it was definitely worth the wait! I had the chicken sandwich medium spice and my wife had the half chicken mild spice. The chicken was literally the best I’ve ever had and all of the sides were amazing. We will definitely come to Hattie B’s every chance we get!
