Glimmerglass State Park

Ive been here multiple times. Although yesterday was the first time for the 4th of July! They did an amazing job from keeping up with the crowd, life guards absolutely were paying attention. Bathrooms were constantly maintained by staff. Although they are not responsible for your children, they are on it and will search. They absolutely care about safety, the environment in general, friendliness, everything is well maintained and clean. This beach is perfect especially with kids! I had my daughter's birthday party here last year as well and had reserved to be beach front. The room was inside attached to the main building. Had a counter, tables, a sink possibly 2 I dont remember. Outlets were available as well. Thank you Glimmerglass for all of the memories so far and yet to come!

This park was well maintained & clean. Sites are mostly open to others with some big trees between them. The location to Hyde Hall, Covered Bridge, Cooperstown, Fenimore Farm, and a beach on the Otsego Lake are wonderful. Staff are accommodating and helpful.

One of the best NY state parks, Glimmerglass presents 3-in-1 opportunity for a visitor: outstanding beach experience, historic mansion tour in Hyde Hall and beautiful hiking trails. Budget the time to sample all three activities, it is well worth it. Ample parking lot with no lack of space on busy holiday weekend.
