A must visit in Anza Borrego. You have to get through a sandy wash to get there though. We risked it and made it through with a 2WD RAV4. The views are breathtaking. I imagine it’s even more so at sunset or sunrise.

This is a must visit and 4WD vehicle is highly recommended. The view of the Badlands is spectacular. We visited on Saturday afternoon and it wasn’t busy. We would have stayed until sunset but no dogs were allowed so we had to cut our visit short.

Pretty cool lookout. Can even see the salton sea in the distance. Lots of bugs and bees for some reason. Road to get here was not as bad as expected. Some sandy wash but use common sense and you should be ok. AWD would help but probably not necessary. Mostly just washboard
