Emerald Bay State Park Lookout

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Breath of Fresh Air with Stunning Views! If you want to escape the noise, get some fresh air, and just breathe, Emerald Bay State Park is the absolute perfect spot. The moment you step out of your car, the crisp mountain air hits you. The scenery here is unmatched: The Valley View: Looking out over the massive landscape gives you a true sense of scale. It’s incredibly peaceful. The Fall Colors: If you timing it right, the fall views are spectacular. The contrast of the changing autumn leaves against the deep, vivid blue of the lake is unforgettable. It is a fantastic place to clear your head, snap some amazing photos, and just take in the natural beauty. Definitely a must-visit spot if you are in the Lake Tahoe area!

Great views and serene blue water overlooking the Fanette Island. In winters the steps have snow amd get slippery. Parking for not more than 10 cars.

Absolutely beautiful vistas from this lookout. Emerald Bay is an absolutely enchanting spot. The only drawback, on a beautiful summer's day is getting parked. We were lucky that a family who were leaving were kind enough to assist us in taking the space they were vacating. It was a hot day and after a long drive we did not follow the trail down to the water's edge - but lots of people were doing that. Instead we contented ourselves with the beautiful views from the lookout.
