Elote Cafe

I had an amazing experience at Elote. The food was spectacular, and the margaritas were just as good. We shared several appetizers and everything was delicious. We started with the elote corn (esquites), which was incredible. The carne asada was juicy and tender, the chile relleno was amazing, and the brisket enchiladas were also outstanding. Highly recommend this place if you’re visiting Sedona, just make sure to plan ahead. We made our reservation about a month in advance, so I definitely suggest booking early. As a chef, I also loved getting the cookbook from Chef Jeff Smedstad, such a great way to bring a bit of the experience home.

Elote Café has the best Elote Ive ever had! The service was great and the food was excellent. If you like Mexican food but don’t want cheap tasteless food this is a great restaurant for you to try. We couldn’t get a reservation on line but I called the day we wanted to go to see if they had a cancellation. As luck would have it we got a reso at 5 no problem. This place is packed and there was a line right when they opened. We had the Elote, pork checks and brisket enchilada and Agave ice cream Sunday. All were amazing! This place is a bit pricey but worth it. There is not much of a red rock view so keep that in mind. Lower stars on atmosphere because this place is loud! I had a hard time hearing the other people in my party and this could be a bit overwhelming for sound sensitive people. I would suggest eating outside because it might be quieter.

I absolutely love Elote! It’s easily one of my top places to eat in Arizona. Reservations can be tough to get, but it’s worth planning ahead or showing up about 20 minutes before they open to grab a seat, because the line fills up fast. The elote is a must, of course, and the margaritas are incredible. Definitely try the mezcal. ( I don't even like tequila, but I do here) Honestly, I don’t have just one favorite dish because everything I’ve tried has been delicious, and the portions are perfect for sharing. Walk across the street and buy a crystal. This is a must if you are in Sedona!
