Short hike to some nice falls. The scenery is beautiful with plaques identifying much of the vegetation. What a shame though that dog owners left their bags of poop along the trail instead of taking it with them. π‘
The loop is easy however if you want to visit the falls expect stairs to the first overlook. The 2nd overlook that goes down even farther is not worth the steps to get to. The view there is sub-par. But when you hit that 2nd overlook spot there is a makeshift path through the fence that gets you down to the lower part of the falls if you have the strength for it.
Great, easy loop trail. Takes about half an hour if you keep moving the whole time, but we were birding so we stopped frequently. Markers along the trail will tell you about the local flora, and about a third to half the trail are down by the creek. The cascades are nice and a couple bridges put you right over the water. There are a few pebbled and sandy spots to sit near the creek. Donβt recall any benches along the trail.
