Miles of mapped routes for viewing natural local wildflowers, open annually from April 1 through 30.
If you’re looking for the ultimate Texas springtime road trip, you have to check out the Ennis Bluebonnet Trails! It’s absolutely gorgeous — fields of bluebonnets everywhere you look. The trails are easy to follow, and there are so many spots to pull over, take pictures, and just soak it all in. Between the flowers, the water, and the blue sky, it felt like something straight out of a dream. Definitely worth the trip — just be ready to take lots of pictures!
So pretty! Signs along the route made it easy to follow the trail, but we definitely went off the “trail” some. Please remember to be respectful of peoples property and animals, even if there’s a great patch of flowers over the fence! Plenty of places to get great pictures!
Bluebonnet park on Bardwell Lake was filled out pretty nice. The rest of the drive there were a few patches here and there but no big filled out fields yet. Maybe by next weekend of the festival it may be better.
