Chapel of the Holy Cross

An absolutely beautiful and peaceful place to visit in Sedona. The views from this site are stunning, with sweeping panoramas of the surrounding red rock formations that make it a must-see stop. The setting feels calm and reflective, whether you’re there to admire the architecture, take photos, or simply enjoy the scenery. The Chapel of the Holy Cross, built in 1956, is uniquely constructed directly into the red rock cliffs, which makes it both architecturally impressive and spiritually moving. The design blends seamlessly with the landscape and adds to the sense of serenity. Parking can be challenging during busy hours, so patience is important and it’s best to follow posted parking rules. Once you’re there, the experience is well worth it. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Sedona.

Beautiful church nestled in the red rocks. I went midday. It took a while to find a parking spot. There’s no need to hike in order to get to the church. To get the best shots all you have to do is walk to the entrance of the parking. The church itself is very small but beautiful on the inside. They have a gift shop downstairs to the left when you enter the church. The gift shop was very busy but had a nice collection of souvenirs.

Such a beautiful amazing spiritual place. The views are amazing, the chapel is beautiful and you feel at peace. It's a MUST when visiting Sedona. Parking is limited and you may have to drive up and down a few times to find a parking spot which is the most time consuming part. They only have porta-potties for restrooms which is located near the gate entrance at the bottom of the hill. They also have people in golf carts that will bring you up to the chapel and back down to your car. You can light a candle for a loved one. Votive is $1 and a 5 day candle is $5. They have a gift shop in the downstairs of the chapel with lots of beautiful items.
