First time going here and will be the last. I've been to paid and free hotsprings from the west coast to the east coast. This place was more like the YMCA than hotsprings. $60 for two people for two hours!!! The front staff girls are super impersonal. Bring your own towels because they charge for theirs. No local discount, no birthday discount no one free water. The doors to the private rooms do not lock..the lock turns but u can just pull the door open, or push it open!!!!!! No cold pool to do a shock..which every place has that except here. The pools outside they let people bring those pool noodles..which break down the BPA especially in warm water..hence the YMCA feel. No lifeguard yet tons of kids! The water felt more like city water than any hotspring water I've ever been in. They say they wash the private room pools..I highly doubt that, there was floating white things in the water and the bench felt slimy. They didn't tell you how to access the main pools from the private rooms till I had to go back up frontand ask. The saunas had no water to add to the coals for steam. They say to take a shower first..but there was only one shower outside I guess. I didn't see one person do that! I definitely expected better from aplacetgsts been around for very long time. I dont see how they got any of the reviews they got... maybe if it was your first hotspring. Definitely would not recommend! Best part was the bathing suit dryer/ ringer. And we didn't sign any paperwork according to that sign..

The hot spring facility itself is actually quite nice, and the overall environment and cleanliness meet expectations. It could have been a really relaxing experience. However, the staff’s attitude was disappointing and noticeably unfriendly, which negatively affected the overall impression. Good service really matters, especially in a place meant for relaxation. Also, while there are lockers available in the changing room, you need to bring your own lock, which was inconvenient and not clearly communicated in advance. Overall, the facility has potential, but the service and small details need improvement.

I have been visiting Carson City Hot Springs regularly with a friend for quite some time. We are both senior citizens and appreciate the therapeutic benefits of the warm mineral water for our joint pain and mobility issues. The hot springs have been a valuable source of comfort and relief for us. Today, however, we were informed for the first time that the two-hour admission limit includes the time spent getting dressed and leaving the facility after exiting the pool. This was surprising, as we have never been told this during any of our previous visits. As older adults with disabilities and mobility limitations, getting changed is not a quick process. It can easily take 30 minutes or more after leaving the pool to shower, dress, and safely prepare to leave. If that time is counted against our pool time, it significantly reduces the therapeutic benefit we receive from our visit. I respectfully feel that this policy is unfair to seniors and individuals with disabilities who require additional time for basic tasks. Many of your customers visit specifically because the hot springs provide relief from chronic pain, arthritis, and other physical conditions. A policy that effectively shortens their time in the water due to age-related or disability-related limitations does not seem to reflect the level of customer service and accommodation that many patrons would expect. I hope management will consider reviewing this policy or providing clarification so that seniors and disabled guests can fully enjoy the therapeutic benefits of the facility without feeling rushed. We have otherwise enjoyed our visits and would appreciate a more accommodating approach for those of us who need extra time.
