After a full busy day came to restaurant very hungry. Sitting in the restaurant/ bar service royalty sucks! Waited 10 minutes for someone to bring us water. Finally got to place drink and dinner order. Got one drink wrong. They took it back and didn't bring replacement until we were halfway through our meal. Ordered $32 butter salmon way over cooked as was the fish and chips that were very greasy. Veggies were fabulous. Asked for ketchup had to go get it ourselves. They forgot the side salad and when asked for it they acted as if it wasn't ordered but it came with the meal and we had told them the dressing wanted on it, it was very subpar, lettuce was old as was Pepperchinies they were soggy! Finally got water refills as were finished our meals. Last time stopping here and we come through often. Have been here in the past not at all this bad. Two hours after eating meal one of us puked up the fish and chips! Maybe from the greasy fish or the old soggy salad!
Very historical, quaint room, comfortable bed. My only suggestion would be to add a couple of luggage racks and another chair in the room. We had no place to open our bags, and only a small chair for sitting. There is more than enough room to accommodate these extra items. Otherwise no complaints, very nice!
We stopped in for the famous prime rib in late May the prime rib was not the same as we have had for years it was really fatty. Possibly a bad cut but was willing to give it another try. We came back in July and they offered BBQ outside for $21 plates. We received 3 pork ribs and one slice of brisket on two plates with a scoop of beans and coleslaw for $42. What happened to the American hospitality including big portions or how about just normal portions? Three pork ribs and one slice brisket is greedy compared to any restaurant in the United States for that price. Has anyone ever gone to an American bbq and received one piece of brisket or three pork ribs feels like kind of a insult. We all left feeling like we got robbed and won't be giving it another try.
