Blanchard Springs Caverns

Great experience! The drive is interesting; if you have a problem with motion sickness you won’t be happy. Check the tour times before you arrive. The cave closes at 5 pm. It’s a mile hike, steep and slippery. It is NOT for anyone with mobility issues. The gift shop is fine for a wheelchair, but don’t take a wheelchair into the cave. The Forestry Service handles the tours because all of the guides were laid off due to budget cuts.

We've visited several caves and this was by far the most incredible! The part we walked was big and it's the upper part of the cave. There's 4-5 times that much underneath that's a little more challenging and is only offered during Summer. It's a pretty easy cave to walk but there are a few inclines that might get you winded a little but they have great paved paths to walk. I've posted several pics and a video below but as always, pics just can't capture the true beauty and expanse of the cave. I would recommend this as a "must see" and I don't think you'll be disappointed. The drive there is somewhat curvy but it's most definitely worth it. Just give yourself time, slow down and enjoy the beauty all around! ❤️

Words can't describe this hidden, absolutely amazing spot of God's creation. Truly God's handiwork!!! We took our church youth group and they LOVED it. We wished we could have gone on the longer tour, but they are short staffed and not able to do long tours. Its a comfortable walk if you are steady on your feet. I would recommend a cane for the elderly, as there are wet spots and up and down hill. Go check out Blanchard Springs Caverns and prepare to be amazed and enthralled!! It's HUGE!!!! The temperature is lovely, but some preferred having a light jacket.
