Ashland Springs Hotel

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Ashland Springs Hotel! The rooms are luxurious, spacious, and incredibly comfortable, with crisp white linens that made it feel like a true retreat. One of the highlights was the stunning large 1920s windows, which offered beautiful views of Ashland and the surrounding mountains—such a peaceful and scenic experience. The hotel’s historic charm really sets it apart, blending classic elegance with modern comfort. The on-property restaurant was equally delightful, adding to the overall experience with its inviting atmosphere. This is truly a must-stay destination when visiting Ashland. I can’t wait to come back!

I stayed in a modest queen-sized room on the 5th floor and for a single traveler, it was perfect. The mattress was cushy and soft, the accommodations were clean and well-kept. The hotel is historic, beautiful, and stately hotel. I felt really well taken care of while I was there; for example, when I struggled to charge my electric vehicle with the EV charger, the man at the front desk came out at 10:30pm to help me (one of the chargers doesn't work, it wasn't a big deal but might be if there are a lot of EVs in the parking lot). We went during the chocolate festival, with the package deal. For parking, you will have to find somewhere around the hotel to park, check in, then get a pass in order to use the gated parking that is much closer. I get why this is done, but was quite annoying on a busy day, circling the area for a space to park, just to go back and move the car again. During our stay, we were double charged when checking in, the 2nd charge was more than the 1st charge but this was resolved upon checking out. Then, when looking at the bill, we were also charged double ($20 extra) for 1 of the chocolate festival tickets. One ticket was $20 but the other was $40. This also matches up with being $20 over my reservation quote. When checking into our room, there was visible makeup along the head portion of the blanket on my side of the bed, making me barely want to use any of the bedding. For breakfast, we didn't realise we would have to pay, as this was not read when reserving our stay, only that continental was offered. This could have just been my not seeing the info, but for what was offered, it did not seem worth the price. After all of this, I just wanted to leave and let the hotel keep my extra $20. The one positive I will say is that the interior of the building is quite nice to look at and I enjoyed reading about and seeing all of the old photos of the area on one of the upper floors.
