New River Gorge National Park & Preserve

New River Gorge National Park and Preserve is a really nice place to visit. The scenery is beautiful and it’s a great spot to learn more about the area while enjoying the outdoors. The National Park Service store is well stocked with plenty of souvenirs and gifts to choose from, which makes it fun to browse and pick up something to remember your visit. The visitor center itself has lots of educational displays and areas that teach you about the history, nature, and geology of the park. One of the best parts is the amazing view of the New River Gorge Bridge from the center. It’s truly impressive and definitely worth stopping to see. Overall, it’s a wonderful national park and a great place to spend some time exploring and learning.

New River Gorge is absolutely beautiful and breathtaking. The views are stunning, and it’s a perfect place to relax, explore, and enjoy nature. The area is well maintained and very accessible, making it easy to enjoy even if you’re just visiting for a short time. If you’re in West Virginia, this is a must-see destination. New River Gorge is simply gorgeous. We camped nearby and accessed the visitor’s center, which had spectacular views. We also descended the nearby steps that ran about halfway down the gorge, which is highly recommended. Afterwards, we took the self-guided driving tour down the gorge to see more of the sites. The drive down the gorge was the highlight of our trip but the road is extremely windy so it may not be for the faint of heart.
