Ballroom Marfa

Other4.3(81)

A quirky art mecca in the high desert of West Texas, Marfa is known for its minimalist art installations, mysterious Marfa Lights, and unique desert charm. May offers cool evenings perfect for stargazing and exploring its galleries and small-town vibe.

Why We Like It

Fun FactThe mysterious Marfa Lights, visible from a dedicated viewing area east of town, have baffled observers for over a century.
Good to KnowMany of Marfa's major art installations, such as the Chinati Foundation, require advance reservations for tours due to limited capacity.
Time to SpendTo fully experience Marfa's unique blend of art and desert culture, plan for at least one full day or an overnight stay.
Pro TipArrive with a full tank of gas and check opening hours, as services and dining options can be limited in this remote West Texas town.

Just like all of Marfa this place is unique and special. Ballroom is a big space with many types of art- at the time it was Latin influenced. You don't need much time here but it's worth it to peruse around and feel inspired.

I didn't visit. I wasn't sure what this was when I passed it but just saw the beautiful colorful mural that covers the front. Just gorgeous.
